An implant is a way to replace missing teeth that is fixed in place, without needing a denture or a plate.

 

It is a titanium screw that is placed to act as an artificial anchor in the jaw, to support an artificial tooth to replace a missing one. Once the titanium post is placed, we have to wait a few months for your jawbone to fuse with it, then we can place your new tooth on top. You may get a temporary tooth to cover the space while the bone is healing.
